Great Wines at Great Prices

75cl bottle.
This is a wine we recommend. Its really close to Chateauneuf du Pape in distance and style, it has long been one of the wine trade secrets to get a superb value red without the hefty price tag. Pure cherry and strawberry nose underpinned by aged wood nuances and tobacco. Lashings of tasty black fruit with black pepper and paprika spice. Good acidity seals a velvet like finish.
Vidal-Fleury is the oldest continuously functioning wine producer in the Rhône Valley, it has been producing wine since 1781. It has remained independently run for all of that time.
Based in the Côte-Rôtie region in the Northern Rhône, in recent years there has been considerable investment in the business which allowed the opening of a new winery in 2008, expanding the cellar space they have available.
A textured, fruity and relaxed red showcasing red berries, sweet cherries and hints of baking spices. Medium-bodied with plush tannins, it offers juicy fruit balanced with structure and a fleshy, spicy finish. James Suckling.
