Intensely coloured with a lifted nose of violets and red and black fruits; impressive density and balance on the palate with a richness of black fruits alongside attractive notes of tobacco and spice.

Critic Reviews:

90 Points Decanter.

From low-yielding Malbec vines grown in Agrelo at 900m, hand-picked and fermented with natural yeast, then aged for 12 months in French oak. Black cherry aromas with a whisper of spice. Ripe, velvety black fruit is balanced by a long, fresh, spicy, herbal finish, with rounded tannins.

Very good value for money here, with a very good price for a wine that quite clearly represents Agrelo’s juicy and friendly Malbec’s. This comes from vineyards planted in 2006 and was aged for a year in used oak barrels that don’t seem to have interfered with the fruity flavours. One for beef empanadas.
