The Antico Colle Estate is situated in the very centre of Montepulciano’s Vino Nobile wine growing region in the rolling Tuscan hills. With a passion for wine-making and the utmost respect for the regional wine-producing culture, the continuity and dedication of three generations of the Frangioso family has earned the estate a prestigious reputation for the production of excellent vintage wines. The vines, which are variably spread over around 25 hectares of sandy, clay and layered soil, sit on an average of 300 to 400 metres above sea level.
The Rosso di Montepulciano is a blend of Prugnolo Gentile (a Sangiovese clone) with a dash of Merlot (5%) which reveals a luscious fruit-driven palate with delicate flowery undertones. It spends 6 months in French oak barrels which reveals a luscious fruit-driven palate with delicate flowery undertones. It spends 6 months in French oak barrels.
