Really been enjoying this new discovery. I heard it had won some serious praise and awards for previous vintages and I can see why. Its from the hot and sunny Puglia region where Primitivo grapes give deep powerful wine with gorgeous black fruits and harmonious aromas.

Primitivo variety traditionally grows in Puglia (the “heel” of Italy), where it was introduced in the 18th century. DNA fingerprinting revealed that it is genetically equivalent to the Zinfandel grape and found its way to the United States in the mid-19th century, The grapes typically produce a robust red wine.
