There`s something to be said for a wine you can rely on. Jean-Luc Terrier and Christian Collovray are a very dependable address consistently producing well made Mâcons. There is a floral note followed by yellow fruits – think peach and apricot – and a subtle, pastry-like richness.

This domaine is based in the village of Davayé, in the Mâconnais, and is jointly owned by Jean-Luc Terrier and Christian Collovray. Their 50 hectares of vineyards largely lie between the twin escarpments of Solutré and Vergisson and showcase the diverse terroirs of this region. The wines of Deux Roches are known for their drinkability and offer great value for money; the domaine is particularly known for its excellent Saint-Véran.

Christian and Jean-Luc were childhood friends that each grew up in a family of winemakers and shared a bond from a young age. They became closer still when they later married sisters Brigitte and Florence, also from a winemaking family. Following the success of Deux Roches, the friends now also boast a second property, Altugnac (Languedoc).

Always looking to achieve the highest possible quality for their wines, they achieved the High Environmental Certification in 2017 and are now working towards becoming certified organic. They produce a range of wines including Bourgogne Blanc, M?con-Villages, Saint-Véran, Saint-Véran Les Terres Noires and Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes.
