We have been visiting the Loire Valley regularly and Saumur is our favourite place because of wines like this.
Produced using the Traditional Method which is the same method used to make Champagne. The grapes are fermented twice, once in the tank and then again in the bottle. This process gives the wine its characteristic fine bubbles. Food Pairing An aperitif wine par excellence that also pairs well with full menus: shellfish, smoked fish, pièces montées patisserie.
