We have been visiting the Loire Valley regularly and Saumur is our favourite place because of wines like this.
Produced using the Traditional Method which is the same method used to make Champagne. The grapes are fermented twice, once in the tank and then again in the bottle. This process gives the wine its characteristic fine bubbles.
An aperitif wine par excellence that also pairs well with full menus:
shellfish, smoked fish, pièces montées patisserie
Bright young straw colour with a vivid mousse. Pure nose offering crushed apple, pear, ripe citrus and lemongrass. Sleek with a creamy
texture balanced by a crisp backbone, young pure fruit flavours and medium long finish. Andreas Larsson 87/100 Wine
