This family-run estate located in Loazzolo, Italy’s smallest DOC in Asti’s Alta Langa region, produces an award-winning range of biodynamic and organic wines. The Isolabella della Croce family ties with their land, which lies within a UNESCO protected area, stretch back over many generations. Their passion and pride for the terroir translates to the delicacy and elegance which distinguish their wines. The combination of the south-facing vineyards, enriching sea breezes, steep slopes and predominantly marne soil gives the grapes a unique concentrated quality.

Ruby red with purple highlight, and intense notes of forest fruit, such as blackberries, raspberries and current that helps depict the nose. Dry, savoury, and fresh in the mouth with a nice persistence that is pleasing to drink.
Great freshness will match well with many dishes from simple pastas to beef or venison Wellington. Fine red fruits aromas as well as some herbal and earthy notes offer a complex bouquet.

The vineyards of Isolabella are located at an average altitude of 480 to 540m above sea level.

The grapes are harvested by hand when fully mature, destemmed and delicately pressed. The must is fermented in horizontal vats at a controller temperature of 26°-28°C. The wine is then aged in large French oak barrels of 25 hl for 12 months.
