Pinot Nero is the Italian name for Pinot Noir.
This family-run estate located in Loazzolo, Italy’s smallest DOC in Asti’s Alta Langa region, produces an award-winning range of biodynamic and organic wines. The Isolabella della Croce family ties with their land, which lies within a UNESCO protected area, stretch back over many generations. Their passion and pride for the terroir translates to the delicacy and elegance which distinguish their wines. The combination of the south-facing vineyards, enriching sea breezes, steep slopes and predominantly marne soil gives the grapes a unique concentrated quality.
The climatic conditions of Loazzolo DOC fulfil the tricky requirements of Pinot Nero and lend the Bricco del Falco, made up of 100% Pinot Nero, notable finesse. A good balance of tannin and acidity is complemented by notes of rose, violet, ripe cherry and strawberry making the Bricco del Falco a truly refined wine.
Packed full of wild cherry, blackcurrant and strawberry backed up by floral notes of rose and violet and those spices of white pepper, cloves and cinnamon.
