This outstanding Stellenbosch Chardonnay is dusty and nutty with smoky oak and a taut, mineral-edged palate. It’s hard to believe it’s not a £20 wine, but it is worth that and it’s hugely enjoyable.

Cream based foods, smoked chicken or duck, seared tuna with olive oil, lime juice and black pepper.
