Hartenberg Chardonnay 2022

This Stellenbosch Chardonnay is dusty and nutty with smoky oak and a taut, mineral-edged palate. It’s hard to believe it’s not a £20 wine, but it is worth that and it’s hugely enjoyable.

This 2022 vintage. An enchanting blend of orange blossom, subtle notes of toasty brioche and bright citrus fruit on the bouquet, all enhanced by a pronounced limey intensity. Lean and linear in structure, hints of peaches and cream add a delicate layer of complexity, underscored by a zesty citrus acidity culminating in a long and satisfying finish.

Cream based foods, smoked chicken or duck, seared tuna with olive oil, lime juice and black pepper.
