75cl bottle.
Ruby red colour, slightly purplish. Notes of black fruit on the nose, supported on the palate by a delicious combination of fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant) and spices (cinnamon). Nice length and a fresh finish, with these little notes of garrigue. Aging potential 5 years.
In 2001, François Lurton acquired the Château des Erles in the Fitou appellation. The 70 hectares of the domain overlook the town of Villeneuve les Corbières and take advantage of an exceptional location. On an arid terroir where schists, slates, clay and limestone mix together, the vineyard of old Carignan, Grenache and Syrah produces very few bunches per vine.
