The grapes come from three different parcels ideally situated in suntraps on the slopes of escarpment of Vergisson in the hamlets of Pouilly, Solutré and Fuissé and mature on 60 to 90 year old vines. This Pouilly Fuissé Vieilles Vignes is deep gold with an intense brioche aroma and hints of stone fruits and flowers. It has a complex palate of green apples, citrus, creamy oak notes, and an impressive finish.
Produced by C. Collovray et J.L. Terrier, Deux Roches 2018 Pouilly-Fuissé is produced from old-vines Chardonnay from the Mâconnais in the Burgundy wine region. Rich with ripe peach, melon, vibrant mineral and toasty oak flavours harmonious and mouth-coating. Pair with smoked salmon.
