Chateau La Gorce is run by the devoted Fabre family who have made first-rate claret in the Medoc since 1980. There are 45 hectares in total planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Only the best grapes selected make it into the Cru which is aged for 12 to 18 months in oak. The nose is generous and intense with red fruit aromas laced with liquorice and spice. The rich palate has good attack with solid structure, firm but supple tannins and suberb mouthfeel. Highly recommended.
