75cl bottle.

From one of a group of chateaus owned by the Guyon family of Rolland de By.

Smooth, well balanced, giving notes of ripe blackberry, mint and woodland. There is an initial burst of flavour, and then the acidity wades in giving it freshness. Attractive and racy, drinking well now & over the next 4-5 years.

A well regarded château producing very consistent quality orientated wines. The property is surrounded by a high proportion of clay soils so this is a Merlot dominated wine which is unusual in the Medoc area.  After fermentation the wine spends 12 months in French oak barrels. 60% of the barrels are new each vintage and 40% are one year old.
