Fruity and open on the nose. The palate displays deep black fruits, developing flavours of vanilla, liquorice and a full fleshy character with an overriding freshness throughout. Supple, velvety tannins and would benefit from decanting for an hour before drinking. Plenty of life left and easily has the potential to age and evolve over the next few years. Grape varieties: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot.

“The nose is fruity, racy and offers a slight minerality as well as elegance. It reveals notes of cassis, crushed cherry and slight notes of raspberry / cassis combined with a hint of flowers as well as touches of licorice, sweet spices and toasted touches. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, mineral, fresh and offers minerality, roundness, a slight tension as well as an acid frame (in the background). On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, cherry and strawberry combined with a touch of crushed redcurrant, cassis as well as touches of toasted oak, licorice / Zan, subtle touches of sweet spices and a very discreet hint of cocoa. Named after two previous owners, this estate dates back to the 19th century. This wine from a sunny vintage is full and ripe, packed with stylish tannins and bright blackberry flavors. A wonderful fruity character to the wine hints at its excellent potential. Drink from 2023.
