Street Wines View:

75cl bottle.

Opened at a wine tasting in 2020 from original case. Level near perfect, in neck. Cork in relatively good shape. Impressive colour. Nose quite closed but opened out a little with oak and a little berry fruit. Palate was more interesting, certainly mature but moved along nicely with forest fruits coming through, clean tasting and retained some acidity.

This was a highlight of the evening as nearly all present had not tried a 1982 Claret, so were thrilled to experience one. My thoughts were had this not been from such a remarkable vintage it would have expired long ago.
