Beronia is renowned for its Rioja Alta vineyards, its gastronomic origins and its innovative barrel program. The Rioja region is subdivided into three areas, Rioja Alta, Rioja Baja and Rioja Alavesa; Beronia is located in Ollauri, at the heart of Rioja Alta.
After a careful harvest, the grapes undergo a meticulously timed cold maceration. This process extracts the ripe, fresh fruit aromas and colour, but not too much tannin. Six months spent in mixed oak barrels adds a hint of enticing spice to the final wine.
This is racy and fresh straight out of the glass, it shows off bright red fruits and the authentic sour cherry flavours with a bite of pure cassis. It has a pleasant smokey aroma with enticing spice notes. It does all this without being too heavy and therefore is a pleasant treat without breaking the bank.
