The winery August Kesseler is located in Assmannshausen am Rhein in the western Rheingau, directly on the slope of the famous  Assmannshäuser Höllenberg. When August Kesseler took over the business from his parents, which was founded in 1924, he was just 19 years old.

It is all the more remarkable that he led the then 2.5-hectare winery to be one of the most respected wineries in the Rheingau and in Germany and gained a high reputation, especially internationally, which continues to this day. This is not only reflected in the high-quality Rieslings and noble sweet specialities,which are regularly awarded prizes, but also in the Pinot Noirs by August Kesseler, which present themselves at the top international level.

The winery earns itself national and international awards such as “Winemaker of the Year” or “Collection of the Year” The wines continuously achieve the best ratings.
