Region – Tierra De Castilla
Well known as a very complex vintage in much of northern Spain, the vineyards in Lapuebla had a very dry year, from the winter all through the summer; but the element which destroyed much of northern Spain’s vineyards, the heavy and widespread frost of 28th April, did not affect
the vineyards.
Aged for 18 months in used 225L barrels, with a final refinement in nude concrete tanks.
Grape mix – 53% Tempranillo, 35% Graciiano, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon
Attractive purple cherry tone, clean, with hues of blue and a good intensity. The nose is expressive and well defined tertiary aromas (tobacco, cinnamon, chocolate), fruity (glace strawberries and dry cherry) and spicy (licorice, clove and balsamic). It is Mouth: Balanced and fresh, with a good concentration and acidity, fresh tannins, red fruits (strawberries, cherries) and a tertiary long finish (tobacco, licorice).
