Established in 1885, the Bougrier family has managed the winery for six generations. Famile Bougrier represents around 800 hectares of vineyards and is one of the last family-owned companies covering the whole of the Loire Valley area. The L’Artiste range is a tribute to grandfather Jean-Claude who, hiding behind his cap, gave such joy and laughter to those around him with his big heart. He was the teacher and artist behind the wines.
Tasting Notes
A very nice straw yellow colour, with a brilliant bright citrus nose with floral notes and cut herbs. A fresh palate with a salivating acidity highlighting lemon and grapefruit notes. An elegant expression, of Sauvignon Blanc with peppery grassy notes accompanied by bright citrus notes. L’Artiste is a tribute to the family’s grandfather Jean-Claude Bougrier who was the true artist and teacher behind the Bougrier styles, with a big heart and passion for wine.
Food
Elegant accompaniment to creamy fishes, smoked salmons, white meats and of course any kind of goat cheese.

Critic Reviews:

Grapefruit, green pears and lime peel on the nose of this fruity white. It’s medium-bodied with refreshing tropical and green fruit notes. Drink now. James Suckling
