This is an Exceptional Bordeaux variety blend – a nod to Bouchon’s original St Emilion roots. Elegant & terroir driven wine that offers the chance for the Bouchon family to interweave French winemaking traditions with the love they have found for the Maule valley. It’s a fruity and juicy wine that goes well with meat sauce pastas and paellas.

90 Points Descorchados
This blend of 50% carménère with equal parts of carignan and país comes from the granitic soils at the Mingre Vineyard, 45 kilometers from the sea in the Maule Valley’s dry-farmed secano interior. It’s fresh and fruity, simple, and very easy to drink. It has claws that latch on to the palate, but the sensation is light and very fresh.

The 2019 Canto Sur is a blend of 50% Carmenère and 25% each Cariñena and País with moderate alcohol and a soft texture, clean with a mixture of berries and spicy herbs and bottled unoaked. It’s approachable and very drinkable, a good introduction to Maule with a mixture of classical varieties. 30,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2019.
