75cl bottle.

There is an aura of adventure and humour surrounding François that is infectious. He genuinely loves every aspect of his job and this passion and dedication shines through in his wines. They are bright, poised and vivacious with a spine tingling minerality, combined with amazing depth and intensity. François has firmly established himself as one of Condrieu’s greatest winemakers.

Full-bodied but soft and elegant with fine grained tannins, lots of red berry and cherry fruit, pepper, spice and hints of oak from those new barrels.

Critic Reviews:

“A blend of young-vine fruit pulled from four parcels ranging from Ardoix in St-Joseph to St-Michel-sur-Rhône and Vérin near Condrieu, this Syrah soars on cool blue fruit. It’s ripe yet streamlined, with a refreshing menthol note and vibrant acidity that lift the wine out of its earthy, dark-berried richness and send it skyward in a cloud of near-weightless flavour that lasts.” (93 pts.) “Brilliant violet. Pungent aromas of black currant, olive and succulent herbs, backed by a hint of cracked pepper. Fresh and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry and dark berry flavours that pick up a hint of smokiness on the back half. Subtle tannins shape the finish, which lingers with good, smoky persistence.” (89 pts.) Vinous Apr 2018
