Domaine Le Mourre takes its name from the Provençal “Lou Mourre” which means little hill. The vineyard on this promontory has been grown for generations by the family owner of the estate vineyard. This “Mourre” also contains traces of the 1st farmers of Vaucluse area dating from the Neolithic (5000 BC. JC). Indeed, quartzite pebbles (symbol of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape soil) were discovered as well as elements of sickle and millstone, signs of a starting agricultural activity. The vineyard benefits from ideal southern exposure for the grapes ripening that brings to wine both roundness, elegance and aromatic complexity.

Glowing garnet red colour. Intense nose of fresh red fruits and typical spices of the Grenache. Beautiful mouthfeel with supple and melted tannins, nice sweetness and roundness. Beautiful aromatic length with spices and black cherries.
