Château du Hureau is the best producer in Saumur-Champigny and produces award-winning wines.
The Tuffe cuvee, so-called because of the “tuffeau” limestone rock on which the Cabernet Franc grapes grow. The grapes are sorted, macerated for 25-35 days and aged for 12-24 months. The wine is soft, rich and voluptuous. It is polished, perfumed with black cherry and cassis aromas. On the palate it is fresh and supple with a nice mouthfeel. A superb Cabernet Franc.
