75cl bottle.

One of the great producers in Burgundy with desirable reds & whites.

An exciting white with depth and richness, lemon meringue and honeycomb flavour with a touch of almond and some tightening acidity, concentrated and structured with superb length.

Domaine Joseph Roty has been in the same family for twelve generations, since 1710, and has one of the largest followings of any Burgundian grower. We keep faith with real Burgundy!’ says Pierre-Jean who has been running the domaine for the last few years. Very old vines and a traditional approach in the vineyard and cellar create wines of remarkable character and depth. Everything is destemmed and they bottle without fining or filtration, following the phases of the moon. The wines are capable of ageing for decades and develop the most wonderful aromas and complex flavours. As with Lignier, Roty releases a year later.

Critic Reviews:

Half Champs St.Etienne, half Boivins
Not so wide, a little more freshness and more mineral depth. Extra freshness and structure – this is more my style of wine – the structure is wrapped in a little ripeness of concentrated fruit but that’s balanced by a nicely mouth-watering style and a finish of impressive density and persistence. Will benefit from keeping. Notes from The Burgundy Report.
