At the foot of Laguardia, between the Sierra de Cantabria and the sinuous course of the Ebro, Bodegas Palacio keeps the dynamic spirit of its origins alive. More than 120 years producing and ageing high quality wines in Rioja. Castillo de Rioja brand, registered in 1916, was named in honour of the Medieval fortification of Laguardia. Visual: Garnet red of medium-high intensity. Nose: Elegant notes of new oak with touches of blackberry, crushed stone and black plum. Palate: Ripe fruit and notes of spices, including a mineral element and silky tannins.
